I was a primary school teacher in my early working life, a role in which I worked for 11 years. I then moved to the Open University working as an administrator for a further 11 years. During both of my previous careers I developed a keen interest in aromatherapy and complementary therapies and through personal experience discovered the health benefits they may provide.
I then decided that I should develop my interest and as such embarked upon a career change. I trained at Northampton College, undertaking the VTCT Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Complementary Therapies which I successfully completed. Alongside this I also completed the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage as well as courses in Hopi Ear Candling and Hot Stones Massage. Since then I have also completed other courses including in Thai Foot Massage and Pregnancy Massage and trained to be a baby massage instructor.
On completion of my training I have started Take Time Holistic Therapies as my own business with my husband Rod who provides business support.
